Framework agreement to support further growth in Europe
Tieto is a leading software and digital engineering company with a global presence. The company delivers mission-critical solutions to customers across industries through its specialised software businesses in areas such as healthcare, banking and industry, as well as through Tieto Tech Consulting.
With around 14,000 experts in software, design, cloud and artificial intelligence, Tieto has a clear ambition to help customers succeed and innovate with modern technology.
Now Tieto has signed a framework agreement with Orange Business, making Orange Business a key provider of infrastructure and managed services. The agreement covers the entire group and will support further growth in the Nordic region and Europe.
The agreement covers all of Tieto's four business areas as well as common IT services at group level. The transition to Orange Business will take place gradually over a period of approximately two years. Tieto Banktech is the first business area that has decided to adopt the services. The first migrations are planned for the second half of 2026. Other business areas will follow with their own transition plans.
A solution built for continuity and growth
For Tieto, continuity of delivery has been a fundamental premise in the choice of partner. At the same time, the ability to support the company's further expansion in Europe has been crucial.
The agreement will contribute to:
- Standardised and scalable services
- Predictable cost levels
- A robust and modern delivery model
- Support for further European growth
Delivery is through the Cloud Avenue portfolio, a modular platform designed for secure, scalable and regulatory robust operations.
European infrastructure with full control of data
The Cloud Avenue platform provides full control over where data is stored, who has access and how services are managed.
The services are delivered from Orange Business' European infrastructure, with data centres in France, Germany, Norway, Finland and Sweden. The solution is designed for organisations with high requirements for data sovereignty, security and regulatory compliance.
Cloud Avenue platform provides full control over where data is stored, who has access and how services are managed. Infrastructure on European soil ensures regulatory compliance and reduces operational risk in a market characterised by increased demands for compliance and security.
The choice of solution is closely linked to the desire for a more efficient and standardised delivery model. As Tieto's CEO Endre Rangnes emphasises:
"Our collaboration is intended to deliver efficiency through standardized services, as well as a robust and modernized delivery model. These services play a vital role in our customer deliveries, and business continuity is the key design principle in the change we are now undertaking."
This is particularly relevant for sectors such as banking and finance, healthcare, industry and the public sector, where the handling of sensitive data and continuity of deliveries are business-critical.
A vote of confidence and a stronger partnership
"This agreement represents a shared vision for growth, innovation and delivering outstanding quality. We are honoured by the trust Tieto places in us, and this partnership is a testament to the strong relationship we have built over time. We are confident that our combined efforts will yield exceptional results for Tieto and their customers throughout Europe for years to come."
