The multinational was seeking a future-proof solution that would enable it to enhance collaboration for employees, customers, and its extensive partner network.

The network needed to be modernized to enhance performance, streamline operations, and improve processes to better control costs and improve productivity. At the same time, the multinational wanted to improve its overall security posture.

The company sought a comprehensive transformation to support its digital ambitions and upward growth trajectory. The network itself needed to be both optimized and scalable to enhance performance, streamline operations, better control costs, and improve productivity. At the same time, the company wanted to improve its overall security and collaboration capabilities while significantly improving the user experience, especially for remote workers.

Navigating a successful digital transformation

Orange Business was selected as a trusted partner to lead the transformation due to its extensive integration expertise and global footprint.

Orange Business was tasked with transforming nearly 40 sites and 2 data centers for the multinational, utilizing B-VPN small, and phasing out MPLS corporate for Dedicated Internet Access (DIA). B-VPN Small is essentially a fully managed IP/MPLS VPN service that enables companies to securely connect multiple locations to the internet.

A managed Domain Name System (DNS), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and IP Address Management (IPAM) transition was carried out, moving the multinational core network services from separate, potentially manual, and/or legacy systems to a unified automated platform.

Links were established to Orange Business VPN Galerie. This managed cloud access solution provides secure, private, and reliable connectivity from the company's corporate VPN or SD-WAN directly to the cloud. The multinational also migrated from LAN HPE Aruba to cloud-based Aruba Central, a centralized cloud-based network management platform.

To enhance cloud security posture Orange Business also migrated cloud security services to avoid legacy renewal, Netskope was integrated into the security architecture. Netskope's cloud security platform provides advanced data protection, threat prevention, and secure access to cloud applications, complementing the existing security measures and ensuring comprehensive cloud security coverage.

We also supported over 1,000 UCC Teams with Direct Routing and Operator Connect, enabling the multinational to use Microsoft Teams for external telephone calls by connecting to the public switched telephone network.

A single cohesive support unit

To handle the multinational’s support requirements, Orange Business utilized its ‘one team’ model, designed to break down silos and provide a single point of contact for support and deliver a seamless end-to-end experience for the travel company.

This streamlined ‘one team’ model integrates two teams (Technical Service Desk and the Network Reliability Engineers / Network Operations Centre (NOC) working in parallel to address incidents and issues directly. This reduces resolution times and improves service continuity in a DevOps mode of operation.

This is further enhanced through the advanced AIOPS, automation tools, and API integrations with Service Provider tools, which provide a single pane of glass to view what is happening across the entire IT estate.

The powerful orchestration platform spans the entire lifecycle, from quotation and ordering to operations and billing. The dedicated operational team serves as the command center for all service activities, offering centralized, real-time visibility, monitoring, and control of network performance, security metrics, and automated processes.
